Washington County offers well testing services for a nominal fee and Public Health and Environment Department staff are looking into procedural requirements to temporarily waive fees for flooded wells. In the meantime, communities can direct residents to the county’s fee-based testing program, residents can request a kit by calling 651-430-6655. The county can make additional kits available upon request.
The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has flooded well test kits available as well. These would have to be mailed in, which can affect the holding time requirements for bacteria testing. For more information email Kara Dennis with MDH or call the office 651-201-4589.
